Us...
Our
History
Chartered
in 1939 to serve the employees of the Southern Pacific S.
A. Division Railroad, we remained a single sponsor credit
union until 1986 when we expanded our field of membership
to the local community. To better describe our role in the
community we changed our name to Select Employees Federal
Credit Union in 1993. Today we have over 5,500 members and
assets totaling over eighteen (18) million dollars.
We
are committed to the credit union philosophy of “People
Helping People”. Our goal is to offer affordable financial
services with better rates, lower fees and more personal
service than other financial institutions.
Because
we are a member owned, not for profit, financial institution,
our members have a say in how the credit union operates.
Members are eligible to vote for a Board of Directors each
year at the annual meeting. Management of the credit union
answers directly to that Board of Directors.
Who
We Serve (Field of Membership)
Select
Employees Federal Credit Union currently serves a large
number of community businesses including Union Pacific,
Cardell Cabinets, Dixie Flag Manufacturing Company, Atlas
Body Shops and Culligan just to name a few. We are always
adding new groups so be sure to contact us if you’re
not sure about eligibility.

Household
is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining
a single economic unit. This definition includes any person
who is a permanent member of, or participates in, the maintenance
of the household, including family members, domestic partners,
foster children, and legal guardians. While room mates in
a single residence would meet this definition, a fraternity,
sorority, or nursing home is excluded from this definition.
